Mr. Essa Ibrahim Sweidan

Essa Sweidan is an accomplished educational leader, computer science specialist, and technology enthusiast with 20 years of experience in education. His professional journey reflects a strong commitment to academic excellence, educational innovation, and the integration of emerging technologies into teaching and learning. He currently serves as the Assistant Vice Principal for Academic Affairs at QSTSS – Al Sakhama, where he plays a key role in academic leadership, curriculum development, teacher professional growth, and school improvement initiatives. Essa holds a Master of Science in Computer Science, specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, from the University of Texas at Austin, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Al-Balqa Applied University. Throughout his career, he has held several leadership and teaching positions, including Head of the Computer Science Department, Advanced Placement (AP) Coordinator, and AP Computer Science Teacher. His expertise spans curriculum design, educational technology, STEM education, robotics, programming, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things (IoT). With a strong technical background and a passion for innovation, Essa actively promotes project-based learning, research, and the development of students' critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
